See It In Your Space Before You Commit
We want you to feel completely confident in your tile selection. Our program allows you to temporarily take home full-size pieces of tile or stone (not just small swatches!) from our showroom. This lets you:
- Visualize Accurately: See how the color, texture, and finish truly appear under your home's natural and artificial lighting.
- Match Existing Elements: Compare the tile directly with your paint colors, cabinetry, furniture, and other materials.
- Experience the Scale: Understand how larger format tiles will look in your actual room, not just in our display.
- Get a Second Opinion: Share the sample with family members or your contractor/designer for their input.
How Our Sample Checkout Program Works:
- Select Your Samples: Browse our extensive showroom and choose the full-size tile samples you'd like to take home. Our team can help you select options that align with your vision.
- Leave a Refundable Deposit: For each full-size sample you check out, we require a refundable deposit. This deposit is clearly communicated at the time of checkout and helps us ensure samples are returned for the next customer.
- Take Them Home & Evaluate: Bring the samples to your project site. Place them in different areas, observe them throughout the day, and really get a feel for how they work in your environment.
- Return in Good Condition for a Full Refund: Once you've made your decision, simply return the samples to Portland Direct Tile & Marble. As long as the samples are returned in their original condition, free from damage, excessive dirt, or breakage, your full deposit will be promptly refunded to you.
Important Notes:
- Condition Matters: We appreciate your care in handling our samples. Samples returned with significant damage or that are unusable for future customers may not be eligible for a full refund.
- Timeframe: Please discuss the return timeframe with our staff at the time of checkout. We typically ask for samples to be returned within a reasonable period to ensure availability for others.
- Small Samples: While we focus on full-size pieces, smaller, non-returnable "take-away" samples may also be available for some products, often at no cost. Please ask our staff.
